Living with fibromyalgia

Living with fibromyalgia

It is not easy to live with fibromyalgia. It is not easy due to the fact that, like me, have no knowledge about how you'll feel when you wake up in the morning. One day, the pain is beyond belief and the next you can feel as if walking on clouds, painless and a full day of activity.

My day usually starts about 20 minutes of trying to stretch the muscles and make it function normally again. So I have to pick up my child from her bed, and can be a painful experience. After it is time to change the diaper, and is also a big problem for me as my fingers normally are not working properly. Fortunately my daughter has learned to be patient with me. After about half an hour is the time to try on clothes and see if you are having a good day or a bad one. A bad day is a day without tight clothing. Then it's breakfast time, but usually can not eat breakfast due to stomach problems also caused my fibromyalgia.

After the day progresses. If I have the strength I'll try to go out and do the shopping and take my children. The worst thing about fibromyalgia is that they get so tired. The pain can be so strong that nothing ever works or even if you had a good night, you wake up feeling like I slept at all. Take control of every little thing you enjoy doing. One day all the strength I can always use the next day I have no strength at all.

Fibromyalgia takes all the good in you, and makes you feel bad if you do more than your body can take. I remember once I was at a dance, I felt really good that night and had no pain. The day after the dance she could not get out of bed, I had to ask for help. I also had to assist home and help with nearly everything for some periods of my illness. It was so bad that I have not been able to take my kids to play.

The weather is also a big problem for most people with fibromyalgia .. To me that means that when the temperature is between 0-15 degrees Celsius, I'm in pain. Those days, I can do almost anything, and that means to me, about 6 months a year. There are some things you do not have this disease can do:

1. Remember that even if a person has fibromyalgia, does not mean you can see. We have no evidence in our bodies to show that our illness and too often we hear that we're lazy, and "How can you be sick, do not sample." Those words hurt. Because we have often had to fight a battle with our doctors so that we become aware of fibromyalgia and prove so many people.

2. Think also of the fact that sometimes a light touch can hurt, so we did not pat on the back saying "you get better!". It is a disease that is there for life.

3. Do not make demands of us because we can do today, might not be able to do tomorrow.

This is just a little about fibromyalgia and probably write much more about it.
